Unlike conventional cleansers, SRS Anhydrous Cleanser contains no water, no harsh chemicals, no preservatives and no fragrances. This specially formulated cleansing gel is safe to use on the most sensitive or compromised skin as it thoroughly cleanses without disrupting the skin’s natural protective lipid barrier. Ideal for use before and after resurfacing treatments.
With the use of AHA, BHA, Retinol and Vitamin C facial treatment products, it is important to prepare the skin to ensure these treatment products are effective. Most cleansers leave behind an alkaline residue causing the skin pH to increase. When the above facial treatment products are applied, their acidic nature gets neutralized by the alkaline residue left behind by typical cleansers. SRS Anhydrous Cleanser leaves no alkaline residue and thus ensures these treatment products are highly effective.
SRS Anhydrous Cleanser uses a coconut-derived sugar ester to gently remove excess sebum, waterproof make-up, etc. This sugar ester, in combination with a soap-free, plant-derived cleansing agent cleanses the skin of all impurities and leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated.
- Dermatologist Tested and Approved - Under the conditions of a Repeated Insult Patch Test (RIPT), SRS Anhydrous Cleanser ‘did not induce skin irritation nor show any evidence of induced allergic contact dermatitis in human subjects’.
- Humectant - Glycerin-based (a powerful humectant) ensuring that skin remains hydrated after use.
- Soap-Free and Sulfate-Free - Contains no harsh chemicals that may cause adverse reactions or over-dry the skin.
- Water-Free (Anhydrous) and Preservative-Free – Most cleansers contain 70 to 90% water. SRS Anhydrous Cleanser is highly concentrated and because it does not contain water it cannot support bacterial growth which may cause allergic reactions in sensitive skin. By eliminating the use of potentially irritating preservatives, the risk of adverse skin reactions is diminished.
